Priyanka Chopra dislikes pretentious people in Bollywood

Priyanka Chopra, a Bollywood star for over two decades, has spoken out about the prevalence of fake and pretentious individuals within the industry. During an appearance on the chat show 'Rendezvous with Simi Garewal,' Chopra shared her strong aversion to such behavior.

She confessed that she herself had succumbed to this artificiality early in her career, transforming into someone she didn't recognize. "I don't like people who are pretentious, and most of them are," Chopra stated. "I mean, we do have intelligent people around, but there are so many people who are so fake, that's something I just cannot stand."

Chopra's career began with 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy' in 2003, followed by successful Bollywood films like 'Andaaz,' 'Aitraaz,' 'Krrish,' 'Don,' 'Fashion,' 'Barfi!,' 'Mary Kom,' and 'Bajirao Mastani.' She has since expanded her reach to Hollywood with projects such as 'Citadel,' 'The Bluff,' and 'Heads of State.'

Looking ahead, Chopra is slated to make a comeback to Indian cinema in SS Rajamouli's upcoming action-adventure drama, 'Varanasi.' She will portray Mandakini, a historian, alongside Mahesh Babu's character, Rudhra, in a mission to protect the city of Varanasi from an asteroid.
