Professor's death raises toll in Moroccan traffic accident

A professor has died from severe injuries sustained in a traffic accident, raising the total number of fatalities from the incident. The deceased, identified as "Ch.A.," was traveling with colleagues when their vehicle collided with a school transport van near Khémis Metouh in the El-Jadida province.

The accident, which occurred last week, happened as the teachers were en route to supervise an exam. The collision resulted in the death of a passenger in the school transport vehicle and left several others injured. Two professors were critically wounded and required immediate medical attention, with one succumbing to his injuries on Thursday.

Local authorities have launched a judicial investigation into the circumstances of the crash on regional road 314, near the village of Bghoula. The investigation aims to determine the causes of the accident and assign responsibility. The incident has prompted calls for blood donations for the injured professors.
