Programme to consolidate role of public teams in some governorates conducted

The Ministry of Culture and Sports in Oman is actively working to enhance the role of local teams through a specialized program. The three-day initiative, codenamed "Tazeez," aims to consolidate public action and build institutional capacities within community teams across several governorates.

The programme includes a package of specialised development activities that focus on building the institutional capacities of community teams.

Funded by the OQ Exploration and Production Company (OQEP), "Tazeez" includes a series of development activities. Faris bin Mohammed Al Aufi, Director of Youth Programmes at the Ministry, explained that the program features workshops and innovation labs. These sessions are designed to boost the readiness of local teams to implement community initiatives and projects that have a sustainable impact.

The program's curriculum covers essential areas such as administrative and financial planning, designing and executing community initiatives, fostering partnerships, and strengthening institutional sustainability. The overarching goal is to elevate the effectiveness of community action and refine its institutional practices, thereby contributing to the development of local communities in North Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi, and Al Wusta governorates.

The programme deals with training on administrative and financial planning, designing and implementing community initiatives, building partnerships and enhancing institutional sustainability. The overall object is raise the efficiency of community action and develop its institutional practices.
