Prokop becomes border crossing for international rail traffic

The Serbian government has officially opened the "Beograd - Centar" railway station as a permanent border crossing for international passenger and cargo rail traffic. The decision, published in the Official Gazette of Serbia, designates the main Belgrade station for handling trains traveling across borders.

This new international crossing will facilitate the movement of both passengers and goods via rail. According to the decision, the operations at the border crossing will encompass international rail traffic that does not require inspection by specialized services. Border police and customs duties will be managed continuously, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in line with Serbia's integrated border management system.

The decision came into effect on June 20, the day after its publication in the Official Gazette. This move aims to streamline and formalize international rail operations at a key transportation hub within the capital city.
