Prosecutors seize luxury watches, cars and foreign currency linked to Dadan Hindayana

Indonesia's Attorney General's Office has seized luxury watches, cars, jewelry and foreign currency allegedly linked to former National Nutrition Agency chief Dadan Hindayana and former deputy Sony Sonjaya.

Legal Information Center chief Anang Supriatna said investigators seized assets believed to be connected to alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meals program for 2025-2026. He said the assets seized from Hindayana had an estimated total value of 8.436 billion rupiah.

The seizure included a Rolex watch estimated at 300 million rupiah and a black Toyota Innova Zenix. Investigators also found cash in Singapore dollars, U.S. dollars and rupiah, including 75,000 Singapore dollars, 20,000 U.S. dollars and 20 million rupiah in a cash box.

Further cash was seized from vehicles allegedly belonging to Hindayana at an apartment in Sentul, West Java. Investigators listed 240,000 U.S. dollars in a white Suzuki Carry pickup, 20,000 U.S. dollars and rupiah in a red Honda WR-V, and 24.5 million rupiah in a white Toyota Avanza.

From Sonjaya, investigators seized a Bell & Ross watch, 11 gemstone rings and an additional gemstone. Assets linked to Asep Yusuf Somantri, described as Sonjaya's associate, included a white BMW 740 Li, a black Toyota Alphard, 8,658 U.S. dollars and 1,800 Singapore dollars. At least seven people face prosecution in the case, including former BGN officials, Sonjaya's associate, a company commissioner, a foundation chair and a BGN official.
