PRP vows to protect votes and support vulnerable women in Bauchi

The People’s Redemption Party in Bauchi is promising two things at once: to defend its votes at the ballot box and to strengthen its support among vulnerable women in Kirfi Local Government Area.

PRP chieftain Garba Chiroma made the pledge at an event organized through the Shehu Buba Charity Foundation. He led the distribution of 200 clothing materials to vulnerable women across identified registration units in Kirfin Sama.

Chiroma told supporters not to be discouraged by fears that the election could be rigged. “We are aware that some of you are being discouraged that the election may be rigged, but I am giving you my assurance that our governorship candidate is well prepared and ready. Nobody can rig our election,” he said.

Haruna Bara, the PRP chairman in Kirfi Local Government Area, described the party as a strong platform capable of providing a serious opposition to the ruling party. He said the PRP’s growing strength had unsettled its opponents and expressed confidence that it would take control of the state. “Our opponents are already panicking over our strength. We are not going to let them sleep until we take over the leadership in the state,” Bara said.

The party leaders urged voters to remain committed to the democratic process, turn out in large numbers and support the PRP in the forthcoming elections.
