PSG: We will contest elections only in a united bloc, otherwise we will back a student list

The Movement of Free Citizens, or PSG, says it will enter Serbia’s upcoming elections only if opposition parties gathered around the Platform for a European Serbia and Narodna Srbija run together in a single bloc. If that broad coalition does not materialize, the party says it will support a student list, subject to compatibility with its core principles.

It warned that separate electoral campaigns could jeopardize the possibility of political change in Serbia.

The party said its objective is to defeat the current regime together and then lead Serbia decisively toward European integration. It added that political actors must now put their shared goal, replacing the government, ahead of their differences.

“PSG’s condition for contesting the elections is therefore clear: a united appearance by the entire opposition, so that the votes of citizens who want change can gather around one political alternative and the best possible chance of replacing the government can be created,” the statement said.
