Psy Concert Fireworks Smoke Halts Baseball Game in Busan

A professional baseball game between the NC Dinos and Lotte Giants in Busan was briefly suspended due to smoke billowing from a nearby Psy concert's fireworks display. The incident occurred at Sajik Baseball Stadium on July 15th.

The game was halted in the bottom of the sixth inning, with one out, after Lotte Giants batter Yoon Dong-hee was hit by a pitch and awarded first base. At that moment, thick smoke from the "Psy Summer Swag" concert, held at the adjacent Asiad Main Stadium, began to drift over the baseball field, significantly reducing visibility.

Umpires and team officials conferred before deciding to pause the game. The smoke, a byproduct of the concert's pyrotechnics, created an unsafe and disruptive environment for the players. The delay allowed the smoke to dissipate to some extent before the game eventually resumed.
