Psy's 'Summer Swag' concert kicks off with Hwasa, Sung Si-kyung as guests

Singer Psy's highly anticipated 'Summer Swag' concert series launched its 2026 tour with a spectacular show in Uijeongbu, South Korea, attracting an audience of over 33,000 attendees. The concert, held at the Uijeongbu Stadium, lasted approximately four hours and marked the beginning of the tour's extensive schedule across nine cities.

This year's 'Summer Swag' concert featured a star-studded lineup of guests and entertainment. The opening video, a humorous VCR segment, starred film director Jang Hang-jun and actor Park Ji-hoon, who gained popularity for their roles in the movie 'The King and the Man'. Psy shared anecdotes about how he enlisted their help, initially seeking Jang's directorial input but ultimately convincing him to appear alongside Park Ji-hoon.

Last year, Lee Su-ji (in the VCR) was so impactful that I was overwhelmed by her presence. I called Director Jang to ask for his direction, and he said, 'Forget directing, appearing is better.' When I asked if he was going to appear, he said, 'Yes, I want to do even better,' and he even scouted Park Ji-hoon himself.

Singer Hwasa, a junior artist under Psy's label P Nation, and long-time collaborator Sung Si-kyung joined Psy on stage. Hwasa delivered a captivating performance of her hit songs, including 'Maria' and 'Chilli'. Sung Si-kyung, known for his smooth vocals, presented a medley of his beloved tracks like 'Your Everything' and 'On the Street', sharing his long-standing connection with Psy, who debuted around the same time.

The concert concluded with an encore where Psy performed remixed versions of iconic songs from various artists, including BIGBANG, Wonder Girls, and 2NE1, before returning for final songs like 'Champion' and 'Entertainer'.

The 'Summer Swag 2026' tour is set to continue with 14 shows across nine cities, including Daegu, Incheon, and Seoul, promising more electrifying performances for fans throughout the summer.
