Public notice from the Kütahya 3rd High Criminal Court

The Kütahya 3rd High Criminal Court has published a notice concerning Erdi Akın, who faces prosecution for allegedly presenting himself as a public official or as an employee or associate of a bank, insurance company or credit institution.

The notice relates to case file 2025/308. It says that, during both the investigation and prosecution stages, the court issued a direct arrest warrant because multiple warrants had already been issued for Akın. The charges cite provisions of Turkey’s Penal Code covering fraud, repeated offenses, deprivation of certain rights and recidivism.

The court said the indictment led to a public criminal case. The alleged offense falls within the provisions of Article 248 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which concerns defendants whose whereabouts are unknown or who cannot be brought before the court.

The notice was posted at the defendant’s known residence. It says Akın must apply to the court within 15 days of the posting date. If he fails to do so, the court may impose measures provided for under Article 248. Under Article 247, he may also be declared a fugitive after the required steps are documented. Proceedings against him will continue.
