San C Culture, the publisher of bestselling author Huang Shan-liao, has released a strong statement condemning what it calls "malicious comments and personal attacks" directed at the author and his works. The publisher announced it is gathering evidence of online bullying and intends to pursue legal action against those responsible.

The controversy erupted after YouTuber Domidoro released a video criticizing Huang's six books. Domidoro gave the author's entire body of work a "0 out of 10," describing the content as "watery" and comparing the books to shallow puddles. The YouTuber also criticized the brevity of the books, suggesting they lacked substance.

Following the YouTuber's critique, many netizens joined in with harsh criticisms of Huang's writing style, with some even mimicking his literary style in their own posts. The publisher's statement acknowledged that while they accept rational criticism and constructive discussion, the recent online discourse has escalated into "unwarranted verbal abuse and personal attacks."

San C Culture emphasized that some of the comments border on cyberbullying and have gone far beyond rational discussion, causing significant harm to the creator and distorting the publishing space. The publisher stated it has collected evidence of these potentially illegal remarks and malicious defamation, vowing to "resolutely not tolerate any form of malicious bullying" and to protect the creator's dignity and environment for creating.
