Pushed Down a Staircase: Security Guards Allegedly Attacked Train Passenger

Two security workers allegedly pushed a 61-year-old man down a staircase inside a regional train, leaving him with an ankle injury that required treatment at a clinic, according to Germany's federal police.

The incident took place on Aug. 25 aboard a train traveling from Bremen to Hamburg. Federal police said the situation escalated after the passenger allegedly grabbed a train conductor's arm too forcefully.

The train driver is said to have become involved in an argument with the conductor, who then called the security service. The two security employees allegedly pushed the man from the train's upper level down the stairs.

Federal police are investigating the security workers on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm. The passenger also faces possible consequences, as a complaint for bodily harm has been filed against him.
