Queen Margrethe Celebrates Princess Isabella's High School Graduation

Queen Margrethe of Denmark joined her family in celebrating Princess Isabella's graduation from high school. Images shared on the royal family's official Instagram account captured the proud moment, showing the Queen and the newly minted graduate.

Princess Isabella, who recently completed her studies at Øregård Gymnasium in Hellerup, received her graduation cap. Her older brother, Crown Prince Christian, placed the cap on her head. The celebration was attended by her siblings, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, as well as her parents, King Frederik and Queen Mary.

The family gathered for a celebratory lunch at Kancellihuset in Nordsjælland, a royal residence used for longer stays near Fredensborg Palace. Queen Mary also shared a close-up photo of the back of Isabella's graduation cap, revealing the embroidered name "Isabella Henrietta."

Princess Isabella was christened Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe. The middle name Henrietta honors Queen Mary's late mother. The official graduation ceremony, where students receive their diplomas, is scheduled for Friday.
