Racing concedes two-goal deficit to Tigre after defensive errors

Racing found itself trailing Tigre 2-0 at halftime, largely due to two costly defensive blunders in the first half of their Torneo Clausura match. The home side struggled to contain Tigre's offense, which effectively punished Racing's errors.

The first goal came in the 26th minute when Racing defender Nazareno Colombo's hesitation in playing the ball out from the back allowed Gonzalo Pity Martínez to steal possession. Martínez capitalized on the turnover, scoring past Racing's goalkeeper Facundo Cambeses. Colombo, who was playing his 100th match for Racing, was later booked.

Just seven minutes later, another defensive lapse occurred. Gastón Martirena's misplaced pass intended for a teammate was intercepted by Tigre's Martín Garay. From midfield, Garay launched a long-range shot that bounced unpredictably before beating Cambeses, who appeared to misjudge the ball's trajectory. Despite these setbacks, Racing had opportunities to pull a goal back, but Tigre's goalkeeper Felipe Zenobio made crucial saves, including a notable stop on a volley from 18-year-old Alejandro Tello, preserving Tigre's two-goal advantage.
