Radiohead announce 16 Australian shows for 2027

Radiohead will return to Australia in 2027 for their first concerts in the country in 15 years, with 16 shows planned across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

The British art rock band will open the tour with four concerts at Perth Arena on May 3, 4, 6 and 7. Six shows will follow at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena from May 13 to 20, before six dates at Sydney SuperDome from May 25 through June 1.

Australian Radiohead tours have been rare. The band first visited in 1994, playing pubs and theatres after the success of its debut album, Pablo Honey, and the single “Creep.” By the time Radiohead returned in 1998, albums including The Bends and OK Computer had established the group as one of music’s most adventurous acts.

The band continued to move away from predictable formulas. Kid A, released in 2000, largely set aside guitars for more avant-garde sounds. Although Radiohead’s live performances remained highly regarded, the group returned to Australia only in 2004 and 2012, leaving fans waiting for another visit.

Frontman Thom Yorke played solo shows in Australia in 2024, including one performance that ended in controversy after a protester intervened near the conclusion. Fans can now register for access to tickets, with registration closing at 5 p.m. AEST on Thursday, Sept. 10.
