Railway Discounts Sleeper Tickets by Up to 40%, with Da Nang-Hanoi Fares Starting at 800,000 Dong

Passengers traveling on selected SE trains can receive sleeper-ticket discounts of up to 40% from September 7 to 10, with Da Nang to Hanoi fares starting at 800,000 dong.

The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said the promotions aim to make train travel more convenient, encourage two-way journeys and improve passenger-service efficiency. Depending on the seat type and route, fares on SE trains passing through central Vietnam will fall by 15% to 40% during the four-day promotion.

For trains SE2, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE10 and SE20, air-conditioned soft-seat fares will be reduced by 15%, while sleeper fares will fall by 30 for passengers traveling from Da Nang to Cho Sy or from Hue to Hanoi. Reference sleeper fares include 800,000 dong from Da Nang to Hanoi, 376,000 dong from Hue to Vinh and 375,000 dong from Vinh to Hanoi. Reference soft-seat fares include 181,000 dong from Da Nang to Dong Hoi, 248,000 dong from Hue to Vinh and 225,000 dong from Vinh to Hanoi.

For trains SE1, SE2, SE3, SE4, SE21 and SE22, passengers traveling between Da Nang and Dieu Tri can receive a 15% discount on air-conditioned soft seats and up to 40% off sleeper tickets.

The railway company will also discount return fares on round-trip bookings from September 7 through November 19 and from November 25 through December 30. Individual passengers who buy tickets one to 19 days before departure receive a 20% return-fare discount, while those booking at least 20 days ahead receive 30%. Passengers can buy tickets at stations and ticket offices, or online through dsvn.vn, e-wallets and banking applications.
