Rain Expected in Southern, Central South Korea Ahead of Weekend; Jeju May See Heavy Downpours

As the weekend approaches, South Korea braces for a change in weather as rain is forecast to sweep across the southern and central regions, including Jeju Island. While the capital region and Gangwon Province will remain under the influence of a high-pressure system, the rest of the country can expect cooler temperatures, with daytime highs ranging from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius on Friday. However, this respite from the heat is expected to be short-lived, as temperatures are predicted to climb back above 25 degrees Celsius inland by Sunday, signaling a return to warmer conditions.

The dry spell in some inland areas, including parts of the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon, continues, with a dry weather warning in effect. This juxtaposition of rain in the south and dry conditions in the north highlights the varied weather patterns across the Korean peninsula.
