The Pan-African Pyramid (PAP) will posthumously honor the late Ugandan businessman and philanthropist Rajiv Ruparelia with a Humanitarian Award at its 9th Global Awards ceremony in August 2026. The PAP Awards Committee announced the decision, citing Ruparelia's significant humanitarian work and philanthropic impact in Uganda, Africa, and beyond.

Rajiv Ruparelia's legacy extends beyond his business achievements. Through charitable initiatives and the Ruparelia Foundation, he supported programs in education, healthcare, sports, youth development, and community welfare. The committee stated that Ruparelia "impacted countless lives and inspired a generation of young African entrepreneurs and philanthropists."

Family members, including Ruparelia Group Chairman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia and his wife Jyotsna Ruparelia, are expected to accept the award on his behalf. The event aims to gather African leaders, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures. Organizers are also exploring a humanitarian partnership with the Ruparelia Foundation, potentially expanding its "X-Mas With Refugees" initiative to provide aid to vulnerable refugee communities across Uganda and the continent, building on Ruparelia's commitment to compassion and community service.
