Ralf Schumacher: Ex-Formula 1 driver marries partner Étienne in South of France

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, 50, has married his partner Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne, 36, in a civil ceremony at the town hall of Saint-Tropez. The confirmation came from Schumacher's management on Sunday.

The newlyweds celebrated their union at a private estate in the French resort town on the Côte d’Azur, hosting approximately 110 guests. The couple wore matching dark blue suits with light blue ties for the ceremony. While the press was not invited, a television crew was present for the sunset dinner and subsequent midnight fireworks at the beach club "La Bouillabaisse."

Their journey to marriage and beyond is being exclusively documented for a Sky mini-reality series titled "Ralf & Étienne: Wir sagen Ja," which began airing on May 21. Sky has indicated that the wedding episode is scheduled for release on June 6. Ralf's son, David Schumacher, who is also a racing driver, reportedly attended as a groomsman alongside his wife. Reality TV stars Carmen and Robert Geiss were also among the wedding guests.

Ralf Schumacher's ex-wife, Cora Schumacher, 49, was not present but offered her congratulations to her former husband via the "Bild" newspaper. "They always say: True love finds its way. Cora had previously expressed public criticism about not being informed in advance of Ralf's coming out, which she learned about through the media in July 2024. Bousquet-Cassagne, 36, works within the wine brand "Schumacher Wines." He previously engaged in French politics, running for the then "Front National" (now "Rassemblement National") in the Département Lot-et-Garonne and was involved in local politics before withdrawing in 2020.
