RAM launches 'ZAD' initiative to prepare Omani students for study abroad

The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) in Oman, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has opened applications for its ZAD: Promising Omani Leaders Initiative. This program is designed to equip Omani students with the necessary academic, personal, and cultural skills for a successful transition to studying abroad.

Eligible students preparing to pursue higher education overseas can apply between August 20 and 27, 2026. The initiative kicks off with a three-day Pre-Departure Orientation from September 3 to 5, 2026, hosted at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech). This orientation will offer an intensive, interactive introduction to the practical aspects of living and studying in a foreign country, focusing on independence, new academic and social environments, and the responsibilities of university life.

Participants will engage in learning sessions and activities covering self-leadership, personal responsibility, decision-making, communication, cultural awareness, financial preparedness, and adapting to life abroad. They will also benefit from insights shared by relevant partners and the experiences of Omani students who have previously studied overseas. The ZAD initiative aims to foster students' readiness for international study and support their long-term personal and leadership development through a blended learning approach.
