Range is no longer a problem: a hybrid SUV is launched, sold in installments at 0% interest and capable of 900 km on a single charge

The Argentine automotive market is seeing an increasing influx of Chinese car brands, with Leapmotor now officially entering the fray under the umbrella of the Stellantis Group. Stellantis, which represents brands like Fiat, Peugeot, and Jeep, has introduced Leapmotor with its B10 SUV, a model previously showcased during the Summer Car Show.

The B10 is a C-segment Sport Utility Vehicle designed with electrification in mind, featuring an extended-range system. This setup pairs a 215 hp electric motor with a 1.5L gasoline engine that functions solely as a generator. This combination allows the SUV to achieve a total driving range exceeding 900 kilometers on a single charge and a full tank, making range anxiety a non-issue.

Developed on the LEAP 3.5 platform, the B10 is Leapmotor's first model conceived for international markets, aiming to make electrified mobility accessible. The vehicle's design, recognized with the CMF Design Award 2024, features clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. Measuring 4.53 meters long and 1.88 meters wide, it prioritizes interior space, enhanced by a 2.73-meter wheelbase.

Inside, occupants are treated to a 14.6-inch floating multimedia screen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic glass roof. Comfort features include electrically adjustable, ventilated front seats with memory functions. The cargo space is 350 liters, expandable to 1420 liters by folding the rear seats.

Exterior highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic Full LED headlights, a 360° camera system, an electric tailgate, and an integrated spoiler. The B10's extended-range electric vehicle (REEV) technology is particularly suited for Argentina's vast geography, offering a practical solution for long-distance travel.
