Rapper Cheloo involved in hospital incident, police intervene

Romanian rapper Cătălin Ștefan Ion, known as Cheloo, was involved in an incident at the Câmpina Municipal Hospital on Friday, June 19. Hospital staff alerted police after the artist exhibited agitated behavior and attempted to leave the facility without medical approval.

According to Prahova County Police, officers responded to the scene and found that the individual had tried to depart the medical unit before completing necessary procedures. To ensure his safety and the safety of others, police intervened to immobilize him and facilitate the required medical care.

Sources indicate Cheloo had been admitted to the Voila Psychiatric Hospital due to a deteriorated health state, possibly under the influence of psychoactive substances. He was transferred to the Municipal Hospital for treatment of a superficial neck injury. Upon seeing a police escort accompanying the ambulance, he reportedly attempted to flee. He was apprehended, restrained, and handcuffed by officers before being medically assessed and returned to Voila.

Police confirmed that their investigation found no criminal or contravention offenses related to the incident. The rapper was subsequently evaluated and returned to the psychiatric facility.
