Rapper Pitbull and fans set ‘bald cap’ Guinness World Record at Hyde Park show

A Guinness World Record for the "largest gathering of people wearing bald caps" was shattered at London's Hyde Park, with 22,141 attendees donning the distinctive headwear. The event, which took place before rapper Pitbull's headlining performance at the BST festival, saw fans emulate the artist's signature look with bald caps, white shirts, black ties, and aviator sunglasses.

Pitbull, known as Mr Worldwide, accepted the award, expressing his surprise at the record-breaking achievement. To be included in the count, the famously bald artist himself had to wear a bald cap, as the record was not for the "largest gathering of bald people." The elaborate setup involved 400 volunteers and drone footage with 42 counters to ensure an accurate result.

The unique world record attempt was initiated by fan Jack Remmington, a podcast host. His "tongue-in-cheek" TikTok video suggesting the festival's capacity could break the record went viral. This led to contact with Guinness World Records and a text exchange with Pitbull, who enthusiastically agreed to the challenge with a "Dale!"
