Rappers in Kreuzberg: Hundreds Follow Capital Bra's Call

A promotional event for a new single by German rappers Capital Bra and Samra drew a crowd of approximately 1,100 people to Berlin's Oranienplatz in Kreuzberg. The rappers had issued a mysterious invitation via Instagram, leading to the large fan gathering.

During the event, T-shirts and a cap were thrown from a tour bus into the crowd. A minor injury was reported amid the scramble for the merchandise, according to police. The event was described as a promotion for the rappers' new single, "Böse Jungs" (Bad Boys), which features the lyric "We are bad boys, make money, make trouble" and the phrase "Berlin lebt" (Berlin lives).

Capital Bra, one of Germany's most commercially successful rappers, has recently been candid about his struggles with drug addiction. He revealed to Der Spiegel that he had undergone numerous failed rehabilitation attempts, including a year-long treatment in Dubai accompanied by prolonged pain.

Unusual public appearances by rap artists are not uncommon in Berlin. In the past year, rapper Ikkimel caused a police operation during a music video shoot, and Ski Aggu recently performed in a supermarket parking lot, highlighting the often unconventional ways artists engage with their audience in the capital.
