Rare double tornado filmed over Swedish waters

A rare double tornado was captured on camera swirling over the water in western Sweden on Saturday. Martina Karlsson, who lives near Lake Dättern, witnessed the unusual phenomenon from her bedroom window during a thunderstorm.

"It was an incredible sight," Karlsson told reporters, adding, "I've never seen anything like it." She filmed the event and shared the video on social media, where it quickly garnered attention for its rarity.

The two funnel clouds eventually merged into a single tornado as the storm moved over the town of Grästorp. While seeing even one tornado is uncommon in Sweden, meteorologists confirmed that the weather conditions on Saturday made the simultaneous appearance of two possible.
