Raúl Jiménez to remain in England with former club

Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez is set to become a free agent after Fulham decided not to renew his contract, which expires on June 20, 2026. This news comes just days before the start of the World Cup.

However, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Jiménez is nearing a return to his former Premier League club, Wolverhampton. Although Wolves were relegated to the second tier of English football this season, they are reportedly sending agents to Mexico to negotiate directly with the player.

Jiménez first joined Wolverhampton on loan from Benfica in July 2018. His immediate impact led the club to purchase his contract for 38 million euros in 2019. During his tenure, the Mexican international scored 57 goals and provided 23 assists in 166 games for the club, who had been in the top flight since the 2018-19 season. Wolves are keen to bring him back to the Championship.
