Real Madrid cruise past Malaga 4-0 to maintain Mourinho’s perfect start

Jude Bellingham’s solo goal set Real Madrid on the way to a 4-0 victory over promoted Malaga, keeping Jose Mourinho’s team perfect after three La Liga matches.

Bellingham collected a loose ball near the edge of the area in the 19th minute, moved past three defenders and fired beneath goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero. Seven minutes later, Herrero’s attempted save from Kylian Mbappe’s shot created a second goal after Bellingham headed the rebound back toward goal and the goalkeeper collided with a teammate.

Mbappe added the third in the 30th minute, volleying Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross from the center of the box. Real eased their pace after halftime, although Bellingham struck the post in the 55th minute.

Arda Guler completed the scoring in added time. Shortly after entering the match, he began a move by finding Vinicius Junior, then tapped in the Brazilian’s return pass.

The result gave Real nine points from three games, two more than Atletico Madrid and Alaves. Barcelona had six points before hosting Rayo Vallecano. Real next travel to Seville to play Real Betis, followed by their Champions League opener at home against Inter Milan.
