Real Madrid's Pérez vows biggest signing in club history if re-elected

Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez has promised to orchestrate the biggest transfer in the club's history should he be re-elected this Sunday, signaling a return to the "Galácticos" era.

Speaking ahead of the vote, Pérez revealed that the club is preparing an ambitious move for a top-tier player from a major European club. "On Tuesday or so, I’m going to make an offer to a major Champions League club for a great player. It would be the largest transfer fee Real Madrid has ever paid in its history," he stated.

Pérez indicated the target is an attacking player but declined to name names, explicitly ruling out reported targets like Olise, Doku, Harry Kane, and Erling Haaland. He suggested the player is not currently in the Premier League and estimated the offer would be "at least around 150 million euros." The president emphasized the player would need to be a "midfield who can go forward."
