Real Madrid signs Spanish forward Carlos Espí after standout season

Real Madrid has secured a new attacking talent, announcing the signing of Spanish forward Carlos Espí on July 30, 2026. Espí, who scored thirteen goals for Levante UD across LaLiga and the Copa del Rey last season, joins the 15-time Champions League winners on a five-year deal, tying him to the club until June 30, 2031.

Espí's impressive performance in the Segunda División during 2025 saw him score twenty goals for Levante, with 65% of those coming in the 2025-2026 campaign. His form earned him a place on Spain's preliminary squad for the 2026 World Cup, though he did not make the final tournament roster. He was also named the best U23 player in Spain's top division and led global U23 players in aerial play performance, according to the CIES Football Observatory.

Levante expressed gratitude for Espí's contributions, calling his transfer the club's biggest sale of a player from their youth academy.
