Regina's Green Falls Landing Retirement Residence was alive with celebration as it honored over 40 birthdays and nine significant anniversaries for the month of July. The event featured music, cake, and flowers, bringing residents together to mark these special occasions.

Among the honorees were two couples celebrating their 66th wedding anniversaries. Harvey and Arlene Peppler, who met playing baseball over 60 years ago, shared their joy. "We loved each other," Harvey said, recalling their immediate connection. "I mean, we knew this as soon as we met on the ball diamond."

Bruce and Eleanor Paynter also celebrated 66 years together. Eleanor recalled knowing she would marry Bruce from their first meeting when he visited her workplace for security clearance. "Five years later, he did," Eleanor recounted with a smile.

The couples offered advice for enduring relationships, emphasizing growing together and understanding each other's thoughts. Bruce suggested, "Just grow together, almost become one. You know what the other one is thinking before they even open their mouth." Harvey added a humorous tip: "I think something that would really help is the fact that if your wife would like to go somewhere or do something, you always say yes, you never say no."
