The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) released the results for the May/June 2026 exams on Tuesday. Dr. Nicole Manning, CXC director of operations, presented the findings in Anguilla, noting that any improvement in mathematics is significant. "Any improvement in math is a good improvement, so it's important for us to be happy about thatโ€ฆimprovement is improvement," she stated.

Beyond mathematics and English, other CSEC subjects also saw notable pass rates. Information Technology achieved 83 percent, Principles of Business 81 percent, and Human and Social Biology 78 percent. More than 118,000 students participated in CSEC exams region-wide this year.

In the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE), core subjects demonstrated high success rates. Caribbean Studies recorded a 98 percent pass rate, while Communication Studies achieved 93 percent. Over 26,000 students took CAPE exams during the May/June 2026 period. Subjects like Information Technology Unit 2 (99 percent), Environmental Science Unit 2 (96 percent), and Physics Unit 2 (98 percent) also showed excellent results.
