Registration for Kano mass wedding is free, says Hisbah

The Kano State Hisbah Board has issued a stern warning to the public against paying any fees for registration in the state's upcoming mass wedding program. Dr. Mujahideen Aminuddeen, the Deputy Commander-General of the board, clarified that the initiative is entirely funded by the state government, with Governor Abba Yusuf approving comprehensive sponsorship.

This sponsorship covers essential items for the beneficiaries, including wedding attire, furniture, transportation for the furniture, and initial capital to help them start their married lives. Aminuddeen emphasized that no official from the Hisbah Board or any government representative is authorized to collect money from prospective participants.

The board urged anyone approached by individuals demanding payment for registration to report such incidents immediately to the Hisbah Board or relevant security agencies. This measure aims to prevent fraudulent activities and ensure the program's integrity, allowing eligible individuals to benefit without financial burden.
