Relatives of ‘Bendito Menor’ and ‘Casi Loco’ organize funeral procession in Riohacha

More than 200 motorcyclists are preparing to cross Riohacha in a funeral procession for Naín Andrés Pérez Toncel, known as ‘Naín’ or ‘Bendito Menor,’ and two men identified as ‘Casi Loco’ and ‘el Tío.’ Their relatives said the burials would take place on the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 6.

The procession for Pérez Toncel will begin at Carrera 27 and Calle 14F in the Jorge Pérez neighborhood, on the road out of the city toward Santa Marta. It will pass through much of Riohacha before reaching Los Olivos cemetery, located on the opposite side of the city along the road to Cuestecitas and southern La Guajira.

Pérez Toncel was identified in the report as an alleged leader of the Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada, or ACSN. Kevin Moscote, known as ‘Casi Loco,’ was said to have lived in Commune 10, near Los Olivos cemetery. The men were being mourned at separate locations before their remains were taken to the cemetery.

Rosa Pérez Toncel, the deceased man’s sister, posted the invitation for relatives and friends on social media. Authorities have carried out operations and patrols in several parts of Riohacha since Friday to help ensure public safety during the funeral events.
