Renault Grand Koleos Gets Fifth Software Update, Improving Lane Departure Assist

Renault Korea is rolling out its fifth over-the-air (OTA) software update for the Grand Koleos, allowing owners to enhance their vehicles without visiting a service center. The update will be delivered sequentially through the car's OpenR Link panorama screen. Owners will receive a notification and can initiate the installation after turning off the engine by pressing the update button.

This latest update focuses on improving vehicle convenience and overall quality, incorporating feedback from customers. Significant enhancements include optimizing the climate control system's logic to address issues like continuous air conditioning noise. The quality of alert messages and various guidance sounds has also been improved.

Further refinements include the addition of a gear shift effect sound, optimization of the welcome sound volume, and the introduction of a new menu for resetting the engine oil change notification. The update also enhances the convenience of settings for the lane departure prevention assist system.

For hybrid models, the update improves the compatibility of accessory power outlets and enhances the communication stability of the transmission oil pump. Renault Korea has been actively expanding its OTA services since the Grand Koleos's launch to address customer concerns, with over 80% of the vehicle's electronic control units now capable of wireless updates.
