Reniec Offers Free ID Services From Sept. 7 to 13 in Callao and 23 Other Regions of Peru

Peru’s National Registry of Identification and Civil Status, Reniec, will conduct mobile campaigns offering selected free procedures related to the national identity document from Sept. 7 through Sept. 13.

The campaign will reach 23 regions, Lima and the Constitutional Province of Callao. Service points will operate in municipalities, health centers, educational institutions, community buildings, main squares and other public spaces.

Each location will have its own dates, hours and available services. Reniec’s schedule allows residents to check the address of each service point, the procedures offered and when assistance will be available.

The program mainly targets children, older adults, people with disabilities and citizens in vulnerable situations. Depending on the location, services may include identity-document procedures, delivery of documents requested earlier, civil-registration assistance and guidance on Reniec services.

People planning to attend must check the specific services available at their selected location. Applicants who previously began the process for an electronic DNI 3.0 can track its progress through Reniec’s online platform. A progress indicator of 100 percent means the document is ready for collection, but applicants should first confirm that their chosen campaign site handles document pickup.
