Rennes eye Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna

French club Stade Rennais has emerged as a suitor for Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna, an 18-year-old talent currently making waves with AIK Stockholm in Sweden. Yohanna, who joined the Swedish club last summer from Ikon Allah FC of Kaduna, has become a regular starter this season, drawing attention from several high-profile European clubs.

His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with Yohanna also previously linked to Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig, and Real Madrid. This season, he has scored two goals and provided two assists in seven league games for AIK Stockholm. The club's head of recruitment, Miika Takkula, described Yohanna as "good one-on-one and strong in the air" with a "fantastic mentality."

Despite earning his first Super Eagles call-up recently, AIK Stockholm prevented Yohanna from joining the national team due to his recovery from a recent injury. Takkula indicated that AIK will demand a reasonable fee for the player, stating, "There’s a lot of interest in the player and if he continues to develop and perform in the same way, we’ll get offers that we have to consider."

Yohanna has missed AIK's last two matches due to injury, following the club's decision to keep him from linking up with the Super Eagles for the Unity Cup. There are strong indications that Yohanna could be on the move this summer, with Rennes reportedly viewing him as the next Ademola Lookman and prepared to invest heavily in his potential.
