Rescuers from 11 Countries Improve Skills in Kyrgyzstan Mountains

Mountain rescuers from across the globe are honing their skills in the rugged terrain of Kyrgyzstan during the 12th international mountain rescue training camp. Held in the Ala-Archa Nature Park, the event brings together professionals from member states of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO).

The training program, running from August 5 to August 15, emphasizes practical application. Participants are engaged in rigorous exercises focused on rock climbing, mastering navigation in challenging rocky environments, and executing precise ascending and descending techniques. Advanced mountain rescue methodologies are also a key component of the curriculum.

In addition to specialized rescue skills, the rescuers are also completing vital practical training in first aid. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance their overall preparedness and effectiveness when responding to emergencies in mountainous regions. Thirteen rescuers from Algeria, Armenia, Georgia, Jordan, Morocco, Mongolia, Palestine, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Tunisia are taking part in this year's intensive camp.
