Residential officetel 'Harrington Square' to be supplied in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town

Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town is experiencing a surge in corporate interest, with major players like Pearl Abyss, Megazone Cloud, Gabia, JW Group, and ITsen establishing a presence. This concentration of IT, cloud, and bio companies is expanding the area's business functions. Data from Gwacheon City shows a significant 50.7% increase in the total number of workers as of late last year, reaching 73,309, largely attributed to the ongoing corporate influx.

The growing business presence has naturally led to increased demand for housing. As housing prices in Seoul become more burdensome, demand is shifting towards Gwacheon, which offers excellent accessibility to Gangnam. This trend was evident when a previous housing lottery for Gwacheon Grand Reve Desian attracted over 138,000 applicants, highlighting the strong interest in the area.

Furthermore, the potential for price appreciation is drawing attention. A unit in Gwacheon Prugio Ortus, which was completed in 2023, sold for 1.89 billion won in February, more than double its initial sale price. However, market watchers anticipate further price revaluation, noting that transactions are currently limited due to resale restrictions and mandatory residency requirements associated with the price cap system.

In the commercial zone of Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, Harrington Square Gwacheon is now available. This residential officetel, constructed by Hyosung Heavy Industries, will feature two buildings with 29 floors each, offering a total of 359 units. The complex will primarily consist of mid-to-large sized units, ranging from 76 to 125 square meters, including penthouses. It is also slated for a direct underground connection to the planned Gwacheon Information Town Station on Subway Line 4, expected to open in 2027.
