Resurgent Son Heung-min aims for third straight goal against Kansas City

LAFC forward Son Heung-min is poised to challenge for his third consecutive goal when his team faces Sporting Kansas City in a Major League Soccer match. The game is scheduled for 11:30 AM on July 26th (Korean time) at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

LAFC currently holds the third position in the Western Conference with 30 points (9 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses). In contrast, Sporting Kansas City is struggling at 15th place with 14 points (4 wins, 2 draws, 10 losses).

According to the club's social media, Son will start as the central striker in a 4-3-3 formation. He will be joined in the front three by Denis Bouanga on the left and David Martinez on the right. The midfield will be anchored by Ilie Sanchez, Mateusz Bogusz, and Timothy Tillman. The defense will consist of Sergi Palacios, Aaron Long, Ryan Hollingshead, and Giorgio Chiellini, with Hugo Lloris in goal.

Since returning to his club after the disappointment of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Son has demonstrated a significant return to form. In a recent match against rivals LA Galaxy on July 18th, he scored his first league goal in a 3-0 victory. He followed this performance on July 23rd against Real Salt Lake with one goal and one assist in a 3-1 win.
