Retired teacher, wife, daughter, son found dead in locked Rangpur home

A retired teacher, his wife, daughter, and son were found dead in their locked home in Rangpur city, Bangladesh, late Saturday night. Police broke into the house after relatives raised concerns when the family became unreachable and their phones were switched off since Thursday.

I cannot understand who killed my sister and her entire family, or why and when it happened. My sister's husband was a very good man. He had no enemies.

The deceased were identified as Ganapati Chakraborty, 65, a retired teacher from Rangpur Zilla School; his wife, Pritilata Chakraborty, 50; their daughter, Agami Chakraborty Prarthi, 23, who had recently completed her master's degree; and their son, Priyam Chakraborty, 12, a primary school student.

My uncle had no enemies. After retiring from school, he started working as a homeopathic practitioner.

Relatives expressed shock and confusion, stating that Ganapati Chakraborty was a well-respected man with no known enemies. He had retired from teaching at the end of last year and had recently begun practicing homeopathy. The family had recently moved into a new house in the Daspara area.

For now, we have recovered the bodies of four people. We have not yet been able to establish any details about the incident.

Police, along with the Criminal Investigation Department and the Detective Branch, have begun a thorough investigation into the incident. The bodies were discovered in different locations within the house, with the mother and daughter found on the staircase, the father on the roof, and the son under a bed. Authorities are working to establish the details of the deaths and identify those responsible.
