RGZ Director Reportedly Dismissed; He Calls Them 'Normal Processes'

Borko Drašković, the director of Serbia's Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ), has reportedly been dismissed from his post. Sources from TV Nova indicate the decision was made during a Serbian government session. However, Drašković himself stated that he had not yet received official confirmation of his removal.

Speaking to N1, Drašković acknowledged hearing the news through unofficial channels, mirroring the information circulating publicly. "We haven't officially received that information yet, but we've heard it unofficially, just like you," he told the outlet. When pressed for further comment, he offered a brief, "I have no comment... but these are normal processes," suggesting a degree of acceptance or resignation.

Drašković had held the position of RGZ director for 11 years. His tenure recently saw the institution engaged in a public dispute, issuing statements against Milan Stamatović, the president of the Čajetina municipality, concerning land ownership issues on Zlatibor mountain. The circumstances surrounding his reported dismissal and his long service at the head of the RGZ are now subjects of attention.
