Rhineland-Palatinate coalition: 100 days of problem-solving

Rhineland-Palatinate's coalition government, formed by the CDU and SPD, has marked its first 100 days by drawing a positive interim balance of their collaboration. Minister President Gordon Schnieder (SPD) emphasized the shared responsibility for the state and the commitment to achieving tangible improvements, acknowledging that differing perspectives are natural but stressing the importance of finding joint solutions.

"The first 100 days have shown that we work together trustfully and with focus," stated SPD Finance Minister Doris Ahnen. She noted that significant projects have been initiated since the coalition's inception. These initiatives aim to strengthen the capacity of local municipalities, create good jobs, advance climate and heat protection measures, ensure reliable healthcare, promote affordable housing, and foster digital and cultural inclusion.

Schnieder reiterated the public's expectation for responsive governance, stating, "The people rightly expect us to listen and solve problems." He concluded, "That is precisely what we want to be measured by." The government aims to demonstrate its effectiveness through concrete actions and measurable results in its policy areas.
