Ricco Records releases new dancehall single ‘Mind Games’ featuring Lavisch

Music label Ricco Records, under the guidance of producer Rick Foster, also known as Ricco Diplomats, has launched a new dancehall single, 'Mind Games.' The track features emerging singer and songwriter Lavisch and is built on the Mercy Lap Rhythm.

The release represents a collaboration between Ricco Records, Emoji Records, Black Satin Music, and Team Upgrade Music. Team Upgrade Music produced the instrumental for the rhythm, which also features dancehall artist Valiant, enhancing the project's appeal.

Lavisch, whose birth name is Brittney Marshall, brings a unique musical perspective to the Mercy Lap Rhythm. Growing up in Waterhouse, Kingston, she developed a passion for music early on, influenced by reggae and dancehall. A former student of Kingston Technical High School, Lavisch began performing at age 10.

She has cultivated a reputation for delivering melodic, conscious, and relatable "message music." Lavisch first gained recognition with her song 'Good Friends Hard to Find,' produced by Ugandan producer Kaz. She has since collaborated with European production team Jugglers Records on 'Irresponsible' and its official music video, and her catalog includes tracks like 'Dealings,' 'Burn,' and 'Let Them Change.'

For Ricco Diplomats, 'Mind Games' marks another milestone in his career, transitioning from promotions to recording and music production. He was part of Valiant’s team and honed his production skills at Core Upgrade Studio. With Lavisch's distinctive vocals and Ricco Records' production, 'Mind Games' is poised to connect with dancehall audiences through its fusion of melody, attitude, and energetic production.
