Riyadh City Commission Completes Master Plan for Northeast Riyadh

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has announced the completion of a comprehensive master plan for Northeast Riyadh. This strategic area, spanning approximately 456 square kilometers, connects key locations including King Khalid International Airport, AlSulai Valley, Dammam Road, and AlJanadriyah Road. The master plan establishes a detailed vision for land use, prioritizing phased expansion, the creation of integrated communities with essential services, and a balanced distribution of residential, economic, recreational, and natural zones.

This development is a crucial component of Riyadh's long-term expansion strategy, designed to accommodate the capital's accelerating urban, population, and economic growth. The plan specifically addresses one of the city's primary future growth corridors, aiming to meet both current and future demands. A core focus is placed on improving the quality of life for residents, expanding green spaces, and preserving the natural valleys within a cohesive and interconnected urban framework.

Eng. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Sultan, CEO of the RCRC, expressed gratitude for the support from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He described the master plan for Northeast Riyadh as a significant milestone that reflects the commission's commitment to anticipating future needs and developing long-term blueprints aligned with Riyadh's dynamic growth. Al-Sultan emphasized that the plan guides the city's expansion and prepares for future demands.

The RCRC clarified that this master plan represents an initial planning phase, not an immediate construction project. Further detailed planning and regional blueprints will be developed in collaboration with relevant authorities. Any future updates regarding the project will be communicated through official RCRC channels and designated government bodies.
