Road Dispute Ignites Brawl in Bursa; 5 Injured, Including Police Officer

A dispute over right-of-way on the road escalated into a violent brawl in Bursa's Kemalpaşa Mahallesi on Tuesday afternoon, leaving five people injured, including a traffic police officer. The incident began around 3 PM on Adnan Menderes Boulevard when a public bus driver, identified as Özbek B., 29, allegedly argued with passengers Emirhan G., 24, Burak K., 37, and Bulut D., 18.

The disagreement quickly turned physical, with the involved parties resorting to kicks, punches, and knives. During the chaos, the bus driver's brother, Tuncay B., 25, reportedly used a knife to injure Emirhan G., Burak K., Bulut D., and Ahmet G., 49, who was attempting to break up the fight. The severity of Emirhan G.'s condition is still being monitored.

Responding police officers struggled to separate the combatants. In the ensuing scuffle, a traffic police officer, M.E., 25, sustained a head injury. Both the bus driver, Özbek B., and his brother, Tuncay B., were apprehended by authorities at the scene. Investigations into the incident have been initiated, with authorities working to understand the full sequence of events that led to the violent confrontation.
