Robert Pattinson says his baby helped explain his intense work schedule

Robert Pattinson said the birth of his daughter helped him handle a demanding run of film projects rather than keeping him away from work.

The 40-year-old British actor recently completed “The Drama,” “The Odyssey,” “Primetime” and the third installment of “Dune” in a short period. He is currently filming the sequel to “Batman.” Pattinson and his partner, Suki Waterhouse, became parents to a daughter in 2024.

Speaking in Venice, where he is presenting “Primetime,” directed by Lance Oppenheim, Pattinson said parenthood gave him a clearer sense of his schedule. Waterhouse accompanied him on the red carpet.

“For the first time in my life, I knew what my schedule would look like for about two years,” he said. He told the dpa news agency that having a baby made it easier to focus on work. “I didn’t feel like going out in the evenings. Suddenly I had twice as much time for everything else, which was very, very helpful,” he said.
