Rod Stewart cancels tour dates after heart stent procedure

Legendary singer Rod Stewart, 81, has been forced to cancel the remainder of his current tour and scheduled performances in Las Vegas. The decision comes after the artist successfully underwent a routine procedure to have a coronary stent implanted.

Stewart's representative stated that doctors are pleased with his recovery. The singer is reportedly feeling well and has resumed his daily activities. However, on medical advice, he will spend the next four weeks recuperating to regain full fitness before returning to performing.

This recovery period means Stewart cannot fulfill the remaining dates of his "One Last Time" tour, which was scheduled to continue until September 3. His six planned concerts in Las Vegas at the end of August are also canceled.

Stewart himself conveyed that he is already feeling better and recovering well. He extended his thanks to the doctors, nurses, and all caregivers for their excellent attention. He also expressed deep regret for missing the shows and disappointing his fans, while eagerly anticipating his return to the stage to perform for them again. This tour interruption follows earlier postponements in June due to an acute upper respiratory infection, laryngitis, and vocal cord strain, though Stewart has repeatedly stated he has no plans for retirement.
