In a remarkable display at Roland-Garros, Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska has continued her fairytale run, reaching the semifinals in her very first appearance at the prestigious tournament.

Chwalinska, ranked 114th in the world, secured her spot in the final four after winning her eighth match at Porte d'Auteuil. This includes three victories in the qualifying rounds and five wins in the main draw. Her unexpected success sets up a highly anticipated semifinal clash against either the formidable World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka or Russia's 25th seed, Diana Shnaider.

Meanwhile, top seed Aryna Sabalenka has progressed to the quarterfinals. In her match, she took an early lead against Diana Shnaider, winning the first set 6-4. Sabalenka, aiming for her first Roland-Garros title, showcased her power and consistency, breaking Shnaider's serve multiple times throughout the set.

The men's doubles competition also saw action, with the No. 10 seeds, including Frenchman Nicolas Roger-Vasselin and his Monegasque partner Hugo Nys, facing a tough challenge against the tournament's top-seeded pair, Spain's Marcel Granollers and Argentina's Horacio Zeballos.
