Romanian Health Ministry assures sufficient vaccine stocks for children

Romania's Ministry of Health has announced that the national immunization program is proceeding without issues, with ample vaccine stocks for all scheduled vaccinations. The ministry stated that deliveries are on track and that approximately 69,000 doses of the ROR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella) are currently available. Of these, 49,000 doses are already with vaccination providers, and the remainder are in public health directorate storage.

To address any localized shortages, public health directorates are authorized to redistribute vaccine doses between counties, ensuring the vaccination process remains uninterrupted. The ministry has outlined a schedule for upcoming vaccine deliveries, including 186,000 ROR doses on July 16, 170,000 hexavalent vaccine doses in late July, and 170,000 BCG vaccine doses by the end of August.

Further deliveries of the tetravalent, DTaP, and pneumococcal vaccines are expected in August and September. The Ministry of Health emphasized its continuous monitoring of vaccine stocks and distribution to guarantee that every child has uninterrupted access to the vaccines included in the national program.
