Ronald Fuentes values Angelo Araos's imminent signing at Unión Española

Unión Española's technical director, Ronald Fuentes, has confirmed that Angelo Araos is on the verge of becoming the club's newest signing. Fuentes indicated that Araos's incorporation would likely bring an end to the team's transfer window activities.

The midfielder is currently undergoing the necessary medical examinations. Should he successfully pass these evaluations, Araos will be integrated into the team's training sessions. Unión Española currently holds the eighth position in the Ascenso League and is preparing to host Deportes Antofagasta this Friday.

Fuentes also addressed the failed transfer of Enzo Riquelme, clarifying that he had no direct conversations with the player. Riquelme had previously stated he learned of the deal's collapse via WhatsApp.

Regarding Araos's potential contributions, Fuentes explained that the player offers versatility in midfield. He can operate as an attacking midfielder, a mixed midfielder, or an offensive playmaker ('enganche'), allowing the coaching staff to adapt his role based on the opponent and the team's specific needs during a match.
